Ladies Retreat #2 Guest Speaker – Leigh-Ann Brisbin

Leigh-Ann Brisbin is the Director of Women’s Ministry at Cuyahoga Valley Church in Broadview Heights, Ohio and has been leading/teaching in women’s ministry for 25 years. She is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and the author of My True Reflection; Freedom from Eating Disorders. She has been married to her love of 25 years, Todd, and is the mom of their 3 children. Leigh-Ann’s heart to walk with women in their faith journey was born out of a time of great trial in her own life where she realized the significance of a real relationship with the person of God and communication with Him in prayer and through His word. God also showed her the need to be in community with other women and the beauty of the uniqueness of each woman, her story, and her calling within the body of Christ. Leigh-Ann has a particular interest in the integration of faith and counseling, spiritual formation, and the transformative work in both individuals lives and the church through the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is her heart to point women to the love, grace and saving knowledge of Jesus, and help them to walk freely, obediently and joyfully in Him.

Ladies Retreat #2 Guest Speaker – Josie Valley

Josie Valley is the founder of Minutes Matter, an online ministry she started in 2011 that helps women live intentionally, discover their unique purpose, link arms with other women, and lead lives that bring glory to God. The Lord used her Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management/business and her Master’s degree in Biblical counseling to adequately prepare her for this calling on her life. Although she enjoys being a writer, speaker, and counselor, her heart is most satisfied in being wife and mama. Josie resides in Broadview Heights with her husband of 7 years, Jason, and their children Noah (4), Clara (2), and a new baby girl due in August! After spending years in a relationship full of turmoil she fully surrendered to God and vowed to never take her life, or the time with which God blesses her, for granted. She believes each minute is invaluable and a gift worthy of thanks. Josie aims to journey alongside women, encouraging them in their relationships with Christ and each other. Her motto is this: Women who make their Minutes Matter know what it is that matters most; knowing Jesus, honoring family, fearless faith, authentic relationships, and living a life of great purpose!
