Faith Baptist Church is within a fifteen minute drive of two colleges campuses and is, in turn, desiring to have a relational presence in the lives of young adults in the area.
College students and singles are the primary make-up of the church’s young adult ministry, whose mission is to grow and develop spiritually mature, biblically sound and evangelistically minded young adults. The method our young adult ministry uses in hopes of accomplishing this mission involves three stages. It aims to engage unbelievers in conversation about Jesus, encourage young believers to grow in walking with Jesus and equip mature believers in service to Jesus.
A young adult Sunday school class – “Crosswalk” – meets weekly, while small group gatherings and activities are scheduled at various times. Service and ministry opportunities, including the occasional short term mission trip,are also part of the spiritual formation that takes place through the young adult ministry.
