Skyview Men’s Retreat

The Skyview Ranch Men’s Retreat is one giant weekend of manly food, manly fun, and manly preaching.

First things first: there’s no counting calories here. Excellent food served in manly portions is piled high from the start of the event till its finish on Saturday morning. If you are coming this year, prepare to loosen your belt a notch!

Speaking of manly fun, there is something for everyone at the Skyview Ranch Men’s Retreat. From trapshooting to paintball to horseback trails through the beautiful country, there’s always something to do. Want to spend all day fishing for 24″ bass? Do it. There’s even the opportunity to spend your day golfing at the nearby Fire Ridge Golf Course, while others will be hiking through beautiful creeks and valleys on our property. Do as much or as little as you want on your retreat. And every year, there’s always a surprise or two. Past attendees will remember the Chinook helicopter landing or SWAT team demonstration.

However the greatest part of the weekend is when things quiet down in the morning and evening for chapel times. There’s something powerful about hearing hundreds of men singing together, and we love watching God work in men’s lives as God uses powerful preachers to bring the word.

Meet the Speaker

Don Jackson, lead pastor at Oakwood Community Church in Ortonville, Michigan, will be the speaker for this year’s Men’s Retreat. Don Jackson is a dynamic, enthusiastic leader, with a proven record of relational ministry balanced in outreach and discipleship with the goal of developing disciples who are passionate and obedient followers of Jesus. He has been serving in ministry in a variety of roles for the past 25 years, including 20 years in pastoral ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Don and his wife, Julie, have been married for over 20 years and have three children: Caitlin, 20, who is a sopohomore at Cornerstone University; Emily, 18, who is a senior in high school and plans to attend Michigan State University next fall; and Joshua, 12, who is in 6th grade.

Don Jackson has previously spoken at Skyview Ranch during Summer Camp and Winter Retreats.
